Fostering is the most rewarding experience...

If you have time and patience and a quiet room to care for a cat or kitten rescued from the streets, fostering can be the most rewarding experience. Even though its hard to say goodbye, you can be sure that every cat and kitten is given the chance of a new and loving forever home after a careful cat adoption process. Our cats and kittens are rescued from the street and often come with, or develop health problems such as diarrhoea or ring worm. You need to be prepared not only for the joy of caring for a foster cat or kitten, but also be able to help them overcome any health or behavioural issues they may have along with our close guidance, veterinary care and advice. Often the duration of foster care lasts between 2 weeks through to 2-3 months on average. Sometimes for difficult cats or kittens foster care may be longer. We can advise you how long care will likely be based on the cat or kitten's health and behavioural issues if any. What we provide: - Cat or kitten(s) - Guidance on how to care for cats or kittens in your care - Mobile veterinary access and care for cats or kittens in your care - Transport of cats or kittens to and from your home - Crates and litter trays if available What you provide: - A safe and loving environment - and a quiet room to let them settle in - Time and patience - Food, kitty litter, bedding and toys - Administering supplied medications - Emergency response if a cat or kitten should need urgent medical attention Please complete the foster application form below if you are interested in becoming a foster carer and we will get back to you! This information has been collected by Sydney Street Cats for the purpose of understanding the home you may offer one of our foster animals and no other purpose. Your information will not be disclosed to any person or organisation other than the prospective owner of the cat so that you may be contacted about the cat or our nominated veterinarian to provide medical care to the cat. Sydney Street Cats collects and holds all information collected in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988.
